JAKARTA - Nightwish has completed the demo recording for their tenth studio album.

The band will soon enter the studio to begin tracking the album which is planned to be released next year.

Previously, Nightwish social media was updated with photos of Tuomas Holopainen (keyboards), Emppu Vuorinen (guitar), Kai Hahto (drums) and Jukka Koskinen (bass) in an undisclosed location in Finland.

"The demonstration for album No.10 has now been completed! We are happy, and try to guess? Next is the recording!" the accompanying message reads.

Last December, Holopainn said the band's upcoming follow-up to Human. :II: Nature. (2020) will be the third part of the trilogy that starts with the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful (2015).

"I immediately found out after completing the album [Endless Forms Most Beautiful], 'Okay, we have to make more songs about this, because there's much more to explore and tell the world, 'We're not done with this'," he told Metal Hammer.

"And the same thing happened after Human. :II: Nature. We are still not finished. So let's do one more. At least one more.

"On the one hand, [the next album] is the third part of the trilogy, which starts with Endless Forms... and then Human. :II: Nature. There are some big surprises there again, but it feels like a natural continuation of Human. :II: Nature."

According to Tuomas, Nightwish's latest album will discuss things that had not previously been mapped while continuing a more cinematic style that characterizes some of the band's latest efforts.
