Controversial Rammstein Band Vocalist Stumbled On Sexual Harassment Case

JAKARTA - The frontman of the metal industrial band Rammstein, Till Lindemann was investigated by prosecutors in Berlin, following allegations of sexual harassment.

According to Agence France-Presse (via Barron's), the investigation follows some advanced women, claiming that they were absorbed and preceded for non-consensual sex at various Rammstein events.

"The initial process has begun against Till Lindemann on charges related to sexual offenses and narcotics distribution," a spokesman said.

"He also claims that the investigation began on their own accordance, and no further comment will be issued so as not to obstruct the investigation."

In a statement to Agence France-Presse, Lindemann denied all of these claims, and called the allegations "without exception not being true".

The charges against Lindemann first surfaced last month, when 24-year-old Lynn claimed that a "casting director" invited her to sit on the "zero line" at a band show in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Documented on social media, Lynn claims that someone guides her down stage and the vocalist then approaches her.

Lynn also said that she refused the invitation and Lindemann reacted angrily. Lynn also explained that she did not accuse the vocalist of rape.

"I want to clarify again. He didn't touch me," he wrote on Twitter. He accepts I don't want to have sex with him. I never claimed he raped me.

Lynn also alleged that she felt like she was being teased at a pre-show party, but later it was reported that the urine test did not show any signs of poisoning. Following the allegations, the band denied wrongdoing.

Following the disclosure of Lynn's allegations, another woman also made similar allegations - stating that they were too approached by "casting directors" who wanted to arrange a meeting with Lindemann.

One report came from the Guardian, and detailed the account of a woman (identified anonymously as Kaya R.) who allegedly fainted at the party afterwards and woke up to find the singer having sex with her.

Earlier this month, it was also reported that Kiepeneuer & Witchch's publisher who published the 2020 Lindemann poetry book had cut ties with the musician following the allegations and an explicit video resurfaced.

"From our point of view, Till Lindemann goes beyond an immovable limit in dealing with women," reads the statement. Therefore, we have decided to end our collaboration with Till Lindemann immediately, because our trust relationship with the authors has been broken and cannot be fixed anymore.

In response to allegations and statements from Kiepenheuer & Witsch, the band issued a statement on social media, denying all of these claims. They also urged fans to refrain from joining the "public suspicion" against band members and those who made the allegations.

At the time of writing, the upcoming Lindemann show - which includes solo performances at Wembley Arena London - will still take place on schedule.
