Kobe Bryant's Death Leaves Grief For The Rockers

JAKARTA - The death of NBA basketball legend Kobe Bryant left grief. Not only for the world of sports - especially basketball - but also for the world of music. So many musicians idolize the man who spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Paul Stanley (KISS), David Coverdale (Whitesnake), Dino Cazares (Fear Factory), Phil Labonte (All That Remains), and Chris Kael (Five Finger Death Punch) are some of the rockers / metalheads who expressed their condolences for the legend's departure.

They expressed their sorrow through Twitter social media shortly after the news of Bryant's death appeared on a number of media.

Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday, January 26 local time. Bryant is 41 while Gigi (his daughter's greeting) is 13 years old.

NBA legends and Gigi are on their way to a basketball game when the helicopter crashes and catches fire. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, no one survived the accident.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the incident occurred before 10 a.m. and the fire made it difficult for firefighters and emergency personnel to get to the plane. Until now, the investigation is still ongoing.

Bryant played for the Los Angeles Lakers for 20 years and is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He won five NBA championships, 18 All-Star times, NBA MVP in the 2007-2008 season, and ranks fourth on the NBA's all-time scorers list. He retired at the end of the 2015-16 season.
