Yamaha Aerox Electricity Officially Launches With A Tempuh Distance Of 106 Km

JAKARTA - Yamaha officially introduced its newest electric scooter, Aerox E, in India. This model is Yamaha's new step in expanding the electric vehicle line in the premium scooter segment in the Bollywood country.

Aerox E stands out as a performance-focused E-Maxi scooter, continuing the success of Aerox 155 into the electric era. This launch marks an important milestone in Yamaha's long-term vision for sustainable mobility.

Quoting from Rushlane, Tuesday, November 12, Aerox E relies on electric motors with a peak power of 9.4 kW and a torque of 48 Nm. The power is supplied by two loose-pair batteries with a capacity of 3 kWh each, with a total of 6 kWh.

With this battery, the first Maxi Sports electric scooter in India was able to cover a maximum distance of up to 106 kilometers in one full charge. This battery can be charged at home using an ergonomic handle designed to be easily released and carried.

In terms of appearance, Aerox E maintains a typical Yamaha sporty design that was previously known through Aerox 155. This scooter uses LED double headlights, 3D-style backlights, and a 5-inch TFT instrument panel that can be connected to smartphones through the Y-Connect application.

Aerox E is also equipped with three driving modes, namely Eco, Standard, and Power. In addition, the Boost feature is added for fast acceleration and Reverse Mode to help when maneuvering in a narrow area.

For safety, Yamaha embeds Track Control System (TCS), front and rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS, as well as Smart Key systems. Charging ports are externally placed for easy user access.

Yamaha explained that the development of Aerox E is focused on user conditions and needs in India. Official prices have not been announced, but sales are expected to start in the first quarter of 2026 in conjunction with the construction of a battery charging and exchange network in big cities.

The Japanese manufacturer also ensured that all Yamaha electric vehicles in India would be equipped with removable battery technology, designed to provide comfort and allay concerns about travel distance.
