AHM Claims Honda Motorcycles That Have Safe Injection Consumption Of Etanol Fuel 10 Percent

JAKARTA PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) claims that all Honda motorcycles circulating in Indonesia are currently compatible with using fuel with an ethanol mixture of up to 10 percent (E10).

That way, consumers do not need to worry about facing government policies that are starting to encourage the use of environmentally friendly fuels based on ethanol. This assurance was conveyed by the General Manager of Corporate Communication of PT Astra Honda Motor, Ahmad Muhibbuddin.

He said the ability of Honda motorbikes to use E10 fuel is not new. Information related to fuel compatibility has been officially listed in the manual book for the maintenance of each Honda product.

"I can only state this, all motorcycles marketed by PT Astra Honda Motor have now met the qualifications to use E10 (10 percent ethanol) gasoline," said Muhib in Jakarta, recently.

"We have conveyed that in the maintenance manual book. So there should be no problems," he continued.

Muhib added that the implementation of a system that supports central fuel has actually been carried out for a long time, namely since Honda switched from a carburetor system to injection technology which began to be widely used between 2010' 2015.

"I forgot for sure (since when), but it's been a long time. Since we switched to the injection system, I've been. I forgot from what year, but it's been a long time (compatible)," said Muhib.

Nevertheless, he reminded that for old motorbikes that still use carburetors. Owners are advised to check first to ensure suitability with zero fuel.

"If it's a carburetor, it should be checked again, in terms of lab results like what. But now we don't market carburetors. All new products have been injected," he explained.

With the injection technology which is now standard in all models, AHM ensures that every Honda motorbike remains safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly even though it uses fuel with an ethanol mixture of up to 10 percent.
