Debut In Indonesia Last Year, The Latest Yamaha Aerox Is Now Officially Launching In Neighboring Countries

JAKARTA - After debuting in Indonesia, Yamaha Aerox or known as NVX recently launched in Malaysia which is priced at 11,998 ringgit or around Rp40 million for ABS and the standard 9,998 ringgit or Rp39 million does not include taxes.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Wednesday, September 17, Aerox Alpha, NVX 155 ABS in Malaysia is equivalent to Aerox Alpha CyberCity, while NVX 155 SP equals the Turbo variant in neighboring ASEAN countries, Malaysia.

Not just a total change, NVX 155 ABS and SP are fully redesigned models, with new body panels and lights, while the difference in seat height between motorists and passengers is clearly visible.

The engine is still the same, with a single-cylindrical Bluecore VVA engine with a capacity of 155 cc which produces 15.4 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 14.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Of course, the new one is the Yamaha Electric CVT (Y-ECVT) transmission installed on NVX 155 SP.

Y-ECVT serves as an electronic step down for gyrboks, called Y-Shift. Pushing the button on the left pod handle will activate a solenoid that lowers the ratio of transmission teeth, so drivers can accelerate as they climb or experience engine braking when they decline.

This mode is maintained when the gas is constant, and rotating the gas will return Y-ECVT to normal operations. There are three modes in Y-Shift, namely Low, Medium, and High, which provide changes in the performance of the corresponding gyrboks.

Safety equipment is also upgraded for NVX 155 2025, with NVX 155 ABS present with, as mentioned in the model, ABS. In addition, NVX 155 SP is also equipped with traction control, two Town and Sport driving modes as well as a digital LCD meter with three display modes, and Bluetooth connectivity with the Y-Connect Yamaha application. Meanwhile, NVX 155 ABS gets monochrome LCD meter.

The ABS system uses a single channel for both variants of the model, with braking using a single hydraulic disc in front and rear. Suspension uses a telescopic fork on the front and double shock damping on the back.
