KTM Presents Two Variants Of 390 Adventures, Take A Peek At The Excess

JAKARTA - A motorcycle manufacturer from Austria, KTM has officially expanded the offline motorcycle lineup by introducing two variants of 390 Adventure, namely R and X.

Model 390 Adventure R is based on a concept motorcycle introduced at the 2024 EICMA exhibition in Milan, Italy last November.

Reporting from Motorcyclenews, Tuesday, February 4, this latest adventure motor uses similar engines, frames, and suspensions such as 390 Enduro R.

The main difference is that the five liter tank is bigger in Adventure or 14 liters, plus the addition of fairing and a new tower is inspired by rally arenas that can accommodate fully LED lighting arrangements.

Thus, KTM 390 Adventure R can have a fuel tank with a range of 257 miles or 413 km or more 92 miles (148 km) compared to the Enduro model and increase the weight of 4 kg.

This motorbike is equipped with an open cartridge suspension of WP Apex 43 mm paired with a monoshock and 230 mm travel which is the same as 390 Enduro R.

In terms of adjustments, the fork can be tuned through 30 stages of compressional adjustment and subsidence of reflection, where shocks can be adjusted for reflection. This is combined with an 18/21-inch rim wrapped in a Mitas E07+ 50/50 tire rubber.

Technology is also embedded in 390 Adventure R with a five-inch TFT screen and three driving modes, consisting of Street, Offroad, and Rain. Any mode used when the bicycle is turned off will remain active when turned on.

Then, this motor is also equipped with double-channel ABS, replaceable sensitive TC, and crude control for a touch of convenience in long-distance travel.

Speaking of performance, the motorbike has a 399 cc LC4c single cylinder engine from the Duke family with 44 hp and 39 Nm torque.

Meanwhile, KTM also introduced variant X on 390 Adventures that focus on asphalt roads but by carrying similar technology. It is known that 390 Adventure X has the same frame and engine as type R, but gets more user-friendly technical specifications.

Travel suspension is also reduced to 200mm and there are no adjustments for compression or rebounding at both ends. Then, the WP Apex Emulsion shock damping can be tuned or the same as in type R.

Two 390 Adventure models have attractive prices, ranging from 5,399 (Rp109.8 million) for type X and 6,699 (Rp136.2 million) for type R.
