BMW Introduces Technical And Display Updates On Two Superbike Models, Anything?

JAKARTA - BMW Motorrad released an update on two super bikes for the 2025 model, namely S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR. This latest element includes changes from appearance to mechanical.

Launching from Motorcyclenews, Saturday, November 2, both have new fairing designs that use a large set of the latest generation carbon fiber winglets. According to the brand, this is capable of generating downforces of up to 30 kg at a speed of 300 km/hour without reducing the top speed which reaches 313 km/hour.

In addition, this device has a good function when turning which manufacturers say can increase front wheel grip power as it bends at high speeds.

Then, there are a number of other changes to the two motorbikes, including maintaining the 194 kg engine so that the tetao is perpendicular. BMW took advantage of the role of Slide Control which is now included in the Track Control system as standard.

The Slide Control feature is divided into two specified levels, allowing motorists to measure the turning angle based on the level of expertise and road conditions.

Both S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR both have information control through six-axis IMU, steering angle sensor, and a functioning wheel speed sensor can determine the inclination angle during certain bends by modulating energy distribution.

The German manufacturer also brought another update, such as the presence of M Short-Stroke Throttle which played a role in reducing the rotation angle from being closed to being fully open by 14 degrees for faster acceleration.

The manufacturer provides an additional 6 dk on the 999 cc 4-cylinder engine for M 1000 RR 2025. According to BMW, this gives up to 215 dk. Unlike his brother, S 1000 RR does not have any additions from the performance side so it remains at 207 dk as before.

BMW Motorrad will sell M 1000 RR in April 2025 at a price tag of 32,850 pounds, equivalent to Rp673 million. Meanwhile, the latest S 1000 RR model has not been disclosed. However, it is estimated that the price is not much different from the twin.
