The World's First Hybrid Power Production Motor From Kawasaki Will Be Launched In June

JAKARTA - The news about Z7 HEV, the world's first mass-produced hybrid-powered motor, is getting closer to reality. After its shocking performance at the 2023 EICMA event last November, Kawasaki announced its planned launch.

Reporting from Young Machine, Wednesday, March 20, this motorbike is planned to be released on June 15, along with the launch of the Ninja 7 HEV.

This motorbike carries a 451 cc dual cylindrical gasoline engine in collaboration with a 9 kW electric motor, creating 58 dk of power at 10,500 rpm. Not only that, Z7 HEV also offers a number of advanced features, including three driving modes: full electricity (EV) with a range of up to 12 km, Eco-hybrid mode, and hybrid sports modes that offer maximum performance.

With claims of fuel consumption of up to 23.6 km/l in hybrid sports mode, this motor promises impressive efficiency. Other innovative features include the e-boost function for additional performance up to 68.5 dk during active sports mode, as well as the "Walk Mode" feature which makes it easier for motorcyclists to park.

The official price of Z7 HEV was announced at 1.848 million yen (around Rp192 million), marking a major step in the new era of driving experience pioneered by Kawasaki.
