Other Hybrid Kawasaki Motorcycles Will Be Born Soon, Using The Versys Platform

JAKARTA - The year 2023 is history for Kawasaki by introducing various environmentally friendly motorcycle variants, including Ninja 7 and Z 7 which are present in the hybrid version.

Not only that, the Kawasaki team, known as Team Green, seems to be developing a hybrid version based on the Versys platform. This news was reported on the Visordown page, Thursday, December 21.

The image published by the Italian outlet Motociclismo describes the Kawasaki Versys touring-based motorcycle. However, what distinguishes it is that the standard Versys internal combustion motor has been replaced by a hybrid power unit.

Although available information is still limited, it is estimated that the hybrid engine used is similar to the Ninja 7 Hybrid model that has been present before. This means that this motor will use a 9 kW dynamo combined with a two-cylindrical parallel engine with a capacity of 451 cc.

While the information about Versy's Hybrid is still small, it is interesting because it is suitable for adventure, and the use of conventional machines is considered the right solution to overcome long distances.

This is different from the Ninja 7 Hybrid version and the like, where distance is not a top priority, because they fall into the category of sport bike and naked.

For the record, Kawasaki has not fully confirmed its plan to replace the combustion model with a hybrid version that has comparable performance. Therefore, it is necessary to wait for what this manufacturer plans for its environmentally friendly vehicles.
