JAKARTA - Gogoro, an electric motorcycle manufacturer from Taiwan officially expanded the ranks of environmentally friendly vehicles in India by launching the GX250 CrossOver, as well as debuting for the CrossOver series. The motorbike is one of the mobility solutions in urban areas.

The bike was originally planned for Business to Business (B2B) in Delhi and Goa, but the company will also launch it for Mumbai and Pune in the first half of 2024 and for consumers in the second quarter of next year.

Luke, co-founder and CEO of Gogoro, said the launch of the CrossOver GX250 was because the Indian market was in the right position in transition to B2B transportation and sustainable consumers.

CrossOver GX250 is the first Gogoro model produced at an Indian factory, precisely in the Maharashtra facility. This motorbike is equipped with various special features to meet the needs of the Indian market according to input from motorists.

The motorbike also uses the framework of all the terrain developed in order to provide an increase in rigidity that offers maximum stability. This new breed also provides the 176mm ground clearance, the highest in the current ranks of Gogoro vehicles.

The GX250 CrossOver uses a 2.5 kW Direct Drive which provides the highest speed of up to more than 60 km/h and has a battery capable of traveling up to 111 km. The new CrossOver GX250 design greatly increases the resistance of the suspension system and accommodates a larger load while prioritizing comfort and stability.

The CrossOver series will later be available in the model. Following the CrossOver GX250, there are CrossOver 50 and CrossOver S which will be available and delivered to customers in 2024.

In addition to launching electric motors, the Taiwanese manufacturer also provides battery exchange facilities (swap-battery) for the region. Later, the swap-battery network will be in India starting in 2024 in Delhi, Goa, and will expand to Mumbai and Pune next year.
