JAKARTA - At the 2021 Eicma exhibition, Royal Enfield had exhibited a concept motorbike that attracted public attention, namely Bobber Concept SG650.

The concept's motorbike adopts a typical retro Royal Enfield classic style equipped with features that support its design from wearing round headlights, round rear mirrors, teadrop fuel tank designs, singles seats, double exhaust, and wide rear sepatbors.

Recently, Royal Enfield released their new cruiser, flight 650 in a limited edition. The model is inspired by the SG650 concept.

Although full details are not currently known, citing MCN, November 24, the model is based on the existing 650 twin platform, which also includes the Continental GT, Interceptor 650, and Super Meteor 650 cruder. This means the 650 minimum will likely use an air/oil cooled 648cc twin parallel machine.

The 650 mission was introduced at the Motoverse Royal Enfield festival in Goa, India, as a limited special edition of 25 units with a black blue pattern. Only available for event visitors with the price of one unit not announced. The mass production version is expected to be launched in March 2024.

"The motorbike is powered by our award-winning 650-Twin platform, and it's great fun to drive on both a straight and a corner, the 650 track is our effort to bring in more special and new categories of motorcycles to fans around the world," said Total. Lal, Managing Director of Royal Enfield.

Meanwhile, RE Chief of Design Mark Wells said the SG650 concept at Eicma in 2021 would attract people.

"That's why we decided to build it as a production motorcycle, the 650 mission was made by the same team that designed the concept," he added.

The 650 mission is equipped with other interesting features including an integrated ABS new wheel design, a black coating machine component, and customizable shock.

For the framework to be similar to Super Meteor, the driver's handle is positioned rather in the middle, so that it can make the driver more dynamic than a cruise with a more advanced foot position.
