JAKARTA - Electric motorbikes in Indonesia are increasingly diverse, this time PT Garda Energi Nasional Indonesia as a producer of Savart launched an electric motorcycle called S-1 with a modern design display.

Savart has invested in research and development (R&D), based on the best engineering capabilities of leading university graduates in Indonesia, from design to electric and mechanical components.

"This company has been established since 2018 and during that time we have continued to develop this motorbike, we see the market is also getting electric," said William Eka Putra, CEO of Savart Motors, at its launch at the IMOS 2023 exhibition, in Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday, October 25.

He further said that this model already has a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 60 percent, with estimates based on the development of the Savart EV team.

"That's based on our calculations, so it's already more than 60 percent," he added.

For S-1P insigna without battery, the price is at IDR 45 million and IDR 58 million, which already uses batteries and chargers.

"We are also working with international chip manufacturers to ensure the high quality of our model," he concluded.
