BMW And TVS Motor Company Present City Compact Electric Motors: BMW CE 02

JAKARTA - BMW and TVS Motor Company from India have established a long partnership in the manufacture of motorcycles, one of which is the G310 entry level which is aimed at the US and European markets.

Most recently, the two companies are collaborating again to present a compact electric motor called BMW CE 02. This motorbike will be produced at the TVS Motor Company manufacturing facility in Hosur.

Reported by Rideapart, this electric motor is specifically designed for urban mobility and has entered the production stage. BMW CE 02 will be exported to various countries, including the United States.

In terms of design, BMW CE 02 features a long, integrated seat with a battery embedded in the frame. This motorbike has a very modern and suitable appearance for use in urban environments.

Technology, this compact electric motor is powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of 11 kilowatts or about 15 Hp, with torques reaching 55 Nm. BMW has also equipped this electric model with a 2 kilowatt-hour battery that allows the motor to cover a distance of 56 miles or about 90 km per charge.

The collaboration between BMW and TVS brings various interesting features in BMW CE 02, including a variety of driving modes, LED lights, and a practical USB charging port for convenience during the trip. Not only that, this motor is also equipped with a 4.5-inch TFT screen.

In terms of security, the braking system already uses ABS as the main standard. This motorbike has 14-inch wheels with tires measuring 120/80 on the front and 150/70 on the back. This motor suspension consists of an inverse fork and customizable monoshock.

Another advantage is the presence of backward teeth that make parking in limited spaces more comfortable. For the United States market, this electric motor will be sold at a price range of around Rp. 119 million.
