JAKARTA - Astro Boy is one of the 1963 TV series adapted from manga in 1953. Several times, this series was remade in the 80s through the series "New Mighty Atom" and "Astro Boy: Mighty Atom".

The year 2023 is the 70th anniversary of the manga and the 60th year TV series. To commemorate this, Honda and Tezuka Productions are working with the Cub House Thailand to launch the limited edition of the Astro Boy Monkey.

The Executive Chairman of Honda Thailand, Shigeto Kimura, said that the creation of Monkey Astro Boy Limited Edition, based on the atomic anime of the boy Astro Boy which was popular in the 50s and 60s, he said, was the first Japanese anime to reach Europe and America.

"We have perfectly conveyed the pleasant DNA of Monkey and Astro Boy together, created uniqueness, and provided a different experience," added Kimura, quoted by Rideapart, Wednesday, March 29.

The work was carried out by the H2C Honda design team, this limited edition variant features the typical colors of Astro Boy, with black and red colors that adorn fuel tanks accompanied by Astro Boy emblems.

Box skin jockeys in the red-painted Monkey model show the thick character of Astro Boy. The Astro Boy edition of Honda Monkey is available as many as 300 units.

The motorbike is sold for 129,900 baht or around Rp. 571.2 million. In addition, buyers also get Monkey x Astro Boy branded jackets, Astro Boy-style helmets, and premium jinjing bags.
