Reaching 821 Km, Tesla Model Y Recently Invaded By Buyers In China

JAKARTA Tesla is back in the spotlight in China after presenting its newest Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD). Where, this car from a manufacturer from the United States has an amazing distance of up to 821 kilometers in one charge.

Reporting from CnevPost, Wednesday, November 12, this new variant immediately sparked a surge in buyer interest, marking the resurgence of Tesla's popularity in the world's largest electric vehicle market. The launch took place at the Tesla Shanghai plant and was warmly welcomed.

In a short time, the latest version of the Model Y order was reported to have accumulated beyond production capacity for three weeks. This response shows that Chinese consumers still have high confidence in Tesla's innovation and technology efficiency.

The Y Long Range RWD model is priced from 288,500 yuan, equivalent to around Rp. 679 million (exchange rate of Rp. 2,353). This price makes it one of the most competitive long-distance electric cars in the segment.

Tesla provides this variant with a 78.4 kWh NCM battery from LG Energy Solution, which is capable of accelerating 0100 km per hour in just 5.6 seconds. The peak speed reaches 201 km per hour.

The move is seen as Tesla's strategy to re-strengthen its position amid intense competition with local manufacturers such as BYD and Nio, which are increasingly aggressive in offering new high-tech and affordable models.

However, the 821 kilometer figure that is claimed to still use CLTC testing standards, which is known to provide more optimistic results than international standards such as WLTP or EPA. Even so, increasing efficiency and cruising power remains Tesla's main selling value in maintaining consumer loyalty.

This new variant is exterior and its interior is very similar to the standard rear wheel drive version. It's only different on the Y+ badge only. The initial shipping estimate for the new Model Y variant is 2-4 weeks after launch.
