Geely Hands Over Local Custom EM-i Starray To First Consumer

JAKARTA Geely Auto Indonesia officially handed over Geely Starray EM-i's first unit to the first customers at the Geely Starray EM-i Exhibition-Drive More With Less Energy at Summarecon Mall Serpong, Saturday, November 1, 2025.

This move is an important milestone for Geely in starting the national distribution phase for the local assembled hybrid model.

After being announced at an official price of IDR 499 million (OTR Jakarta), Starray EM-i is here as an attractive option for consumers who want high fuel efficiency without worrying about travel distance.

Carrying the EM-i Super Hybrid technology, Starray is designed to answer the mobility needs of modern communities that demand efficiency, comfort, and security in one package.

This car is equipped with a 51-liter fuel tank and an 18.4 kWh battery that allows pure electric travel of up to 105 km.

The combination of the two creates tremendous efficiency of up to 83 km/liter, with a total range of more than 1,000 km. This advanced hybrid technology also offers three driving modes, namely Pure, Hybrid, and Power as well as engine thermal efficiency reaching 46.5 percent - providing a dynamic, but energy efficient driving experience.

In terms of safety, Starray EM-i was built using a high standard body structure capable of absorbing collisions optimally. The ADAS Level 2 feature with 14 advanced functions is also pinned to provide maximum protection for drivers and passengers.

The design of the EM-i Starray features a wide aerodynamic and interior character with extensive storage space.

The design approach is functional and aesthetic, with each detail designed in an intense way to improve a smarter, safer, and pleasant driving experience. No wonder this model has won various international design awards.

In the handover ceremony, Geely also held the Geely National Service Skills Competition 2025, a competition for technicians and service providers from various authorized dealers throughout Indonesia. Through a combination of theory and practice, participants were tested in damage diagnosis, improvement efficiency, to the application of global service standards.

With continued training and international standard equipment support, Geely ensures that all merchants have qualified technical capabilities and professional service consistency across the dealers' network.
