The BYD Seal 6 EV Sedan Used To Paving In Neighboring Countries With A Distance Of 400 Km

JAKARTA - Instead of Indonesia, BYD first launched the Seal 6 EV in Malaysia as an electric sedan for segments that are more affordable than the previous Seal model. This car is priced at IDR 397 million.

In dimensions, Seal 6 has a length of 4,720 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Interestingly, this car is slightly shorter and narrower than the standard Seal.

However, it is higher, so it still provides a spacious cabin space. BYD also provides this car with the e-Platform 3.0 platform which is their mainstay in electric vehicle lines, as quoted from Paultan, Thursday, October 2.

For performance, the Dynamic variant is equipped with a 129 PS electric motor and 220 Nm torque, capable of traveling 0100 km/h in 10.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the Premium variant is much more powerful with 218 PS and 330 Nm torque, 0100 km/hour acceleration in just 7.5 seconds.

This Seal 6 EV has a peak speed of up to 160180 km/h and a distance of more than 400 km in one charge. Safety and comfort features are also relatively complete.

Seal 6 is equipped with six airbags, parking sensors, 360-degree cameras, to ADAS packages such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning, and auto high beam. Premium variants coupled with 18-inch wheels and panoramic sunsets for a more luxurious impression.

As a special offer, BYD provided launch packages for the first 800 buyers. For landed house owners, free wall chargers plus cash are available, while apartment residents receive different charging packages with additional bonuses.

In addition, BYD also includes an interesting warranty: 6 years/150.000 km for vehicles, 8 years/100.000 km for propulsion units, and 8 years/160,000 km for Blade batteries.

RM100,000 or around Rp397 million for the Dynamic variant, while the Premium variant sells for RM115,800 or approximately Rp459 million. This price is much lower than the regular Seals sold in the range of RM171,800 to RM191,800.

With a combination of aggressive prices, qualified performance, and modern features, BYD Seal 6 EV has the potential to be a popular choice in the medium-electric sedan segment, as well as to reinforce BYD's strategy in expanding the electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia.
