Wuling Will Launch New Electric Car

JAKARTA - Wuling has a new weapon in the compact electric car segment, the model in question ister S which will officially launch on 27 September.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Friday, September 19, the latest line from Wuling is pre-sales at 68,800 to 81,800 yuan or around Rp160-190 million.

Total S will offer consumers two travel distance options, ranging from 325 kilometers and 430 kilometers based on CLTC testing standards. These two variants have front-wheel drive configurations powered by permanent magnetic synchronous motors that generate a maximum power of 75 kW (100 hp) and a peak torque of 180 Nm.

The short range model is equipped with an iron lithium battery phosphate 31.9 kWh, while the wide range version is equipped with a larger 41.9 kWh battery.

In dimensions, Binguo S has a length of 4,265 mm, a width of 1,785 mm, and a height of 1,600 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. This vehicle uses MacPherson's independent front suspension combined with a non-independent torque beam suspension.

In terms of appearance, this new electric car features a fresh design language that distinguishes it from other models in thetip family, with distinctive lighting elements and charging ports located on the left front side of the vehicle. Customers can choose from four exterior color choices, Relaxed Gray, Free Blue, Carefree Purple, and Empty White.

On the interior, the Binguo S offers an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen floating in the middle measuring 12.8-inch. Its infotainment system integrates the wide DeepSek language model capabilities and includes a special driving mode for camping, traveling, and resting.

This vehicle has a 2+3 seating setting with imitation skin coatings as the standard in all variants. With rear seats folded, the cargo space increased by 1,450 liters. Higher variants add six-way electrical setups for driver seats and heating front seats.

All models are equipped with 50W wireless charging for forward passengers, six-speaker audio system, power window, cruise control, and rear camera. The premium variant adds a 540-degree panoramic camera, one-touch operation for all windows.
