GAC Officially Launches Aion V In Europe, Offers Tempuh Distance Of Up To 510 Km

JAKARTA - GAC through the Aion brand officially launched its newest car in Europe, namely Aion V, which has also been present in Indonesia since the end of 2024.

Interestingly, this car from China just on September 8 made a brilliant achievement in the Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Program) safety test by winning the highest five-star ranking.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Tuesday, September 9, the electric crossover offers a range of 510 km WLTP, 221 hp, and comes with a variety of reliable technologies.

Previously, GAC had actively entered Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South America. On September 8, the first GAC model was officially launched in Europe.

Looking again at Aion V, this car has a length dimension of 4,605 mm, a width of 1,854 mm, a height of 1,660 mm with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm and offers a layout of five seats.

In an exterior design, the model is inspired by Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex), with a dashing and futuristic exterior through sharp lines as well as a sturdy posture resembling dinosaur muscles.

Unique features include aggressive LED headlights such as predatory eyes, sharp claw-like backlights, and a closed front grip design with radar sensors for modern and functional displays.

Entering the cabin, this car is equipped with a 14.6-inch large floating touch screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The LCD instrument panel and the gear mover are behind the steering wheel.

GAC Aion V for Europe comes in standard with built-in hot pumps and refrigerators that also support heating functions, just like existing models in Indonesia.

Another highlight of V includes nine speakers, a front seat with 8 massage points, a 3.3 kW V2G release function, and a voice assistant. GAC Aion V II supports 13 features with L2 driver assistance features that of course really help users.

GAC Aion V for Europe offers a 510 km WLTP range, thanks to a 75 kWh battery. Charging 10 to 80 percent takes 24 minutes. This SUV has a single electric motor with a peak power output of 165 kW (221 hp). The acceleration time of zero to one hundred is 7.9 seconds.

As is known, the first generation of Aion V was launched in China in 2020. This model is famous for its descendants, Mitsubishi Airtrek, which is available for purchase in China from 2022 to 2023. The second generation GAC Aion V entered China in July 2024. This model stands on the new AEP modular architecture.
