Classic Land Rover Defender Rises Again With A V8 Monster Machine From Corvette

JAKARTA - A fully modified 1989 Land Rover Defender 110 unit, dubbed the "Monarch Ombra," is now available at the Exotic Car Trader, the number one automotive marketplace in the United States. The initial price set by the seller for this car is quite high, reaching USD 199,900 equivalent to IDR 3.27 billion.

The most interesting is the distance between this car, which has only been 4,500 miles (about 7,242 km) since it was rebuilt. This car is not just a restoration, but a "restomod" that combines the life of a classic Defender adventurer with modern performance and luxury. Behind its hood, a 6.2L-caped V8 LS3 engine is hidden which is taken from Corvette. This sangar machine is capable of vomiting up to 430 hp of power, channeled through automatic transmission of 6-speed to all four wheels. This combination promises outstanding performance, both on asphalt roads and challenging offroad terrain.

Autoblogging reported on Tuesday, August 5, despite maintaining the iconic silhouette Defender, Monarch Ombra received a number of modern touches. The exterior looks fiercer with a black front roof and grip, combined with black alloy rims wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires. The LED front light is also pinned for better lighting, although it may reduce the original impression of Defender.

However, the car's greatest cap is located on the interior. The cabin is a unique combination of luxury and safari style. All seats, center consoles, and dashboards are coated with Italian skin light brown (tan).
