Short Driving Impression Of Porsche Tiger EV: Different EV Comfort

JAKARTA - Porsche Indonesia has brought the latest generation of Tigers to the country since the middle of last year. Unlike previously driven ICE machines, this model will only be offered in the electric variant.

For the Indonesian market, this German manufacturer only offers it in the types of Tiger EVs, Tigers 4, and Turbo, each of which has different advantages and performances.

Despite being offered in the electricity variant alone, the company claims the latest Tigers still maintain a sporty driving flavor that resembles Porsche's ICE machines.

One year since landing in Indonesia, the VOI Team has had the opportunity to feel the impression of driving Tiger 4 in the middle of the "Porsche Experience Bay" event, PIK 2, Jakarta, where media crews are also invited to try out the Porsche model available.

So, what is the driving taste of this latest SUV like? Here's the short review.

New and Classy Multi-Security Design

Different from the previous generation, the latest Tigers carry a more elegant and stylish design so that it is very suitable for young people and various genders.

The exterior is equipped with two four-point DRL lights that confirm the car design.

Main-front light modules with optional matrix LED technology are positioned slightly lower at the front end.

Porsche retains the flyline design with a flat rear window, while the side is combined with a frameless door and glass that gives the impression of luxury and sporty.

Luxurious And Comfortable Interior

On the inside, the EV Tigers are equipped with a 12.6-inch free-standing display, consisting of a curved cluster instrument and a 10.9-inch central display.

The passenger side also gets information about tuning the infotainment system or video streaming via an optional 10.9-inch screen when the car is driven.

The steering wheel of the Porsche Macan also has a friendly size, allowing it to have easier and more friendly control control for anyone.

There is also an electric tuning of the steering wheel and the driver's seat, which allows him to have ergonomical doses for various postures.

Impression Of Comfortable Driving But Sporty

Tigers whose VOI team is type 4 EV, which has 387 pa and 408 ps of power with Launch Control and peak torques reaching 650 Nm.

Unlike electric cars in general that have responsive characteristics, Tiger 4 has a sense of comfortable driving.

When the gas pedal is stepped on, the electric motor responds gradually so that the car goes more smoothly which of course will not surprise the driver or passenger.

In addition, this one car has insensitive braking characteristics when the brakes are stepped on.

Thus, this makes the driver braking more comfortable and does not make the car user surprised.

Despite focusing on comfort, Tiger 4 also has the characteristics of sporty driving when maneuvering the highway with a car steering wheel designed to have a better sense of driving.

In addition, the SUV has a sound effect depending on its driving mode. In Normal and Sport modes, this car has an imitation sound like a futuristic sound when it is stepped on its speed pedal.

However, when moving to "Sport Plus" mode, the EV Tiger immediately emitted the sound of the ICE 6-cylinder machine in the previous generation when the speed pedal was stepped on which the driver felt the sensation of driving full of adrenaline.

The latest generation Porsche Macan is a model that will exceed the expectations of its users.

Unlike EVs in general, this car maintains the sense of driving such as ICE cars.

In Indonesia, Porsche sold the EV Tigers for IDR 2.660 billion, then type 4 EVs worth IDR 2.760 billion, and Turbo IDR 3.930 billion.
