The V8 Engine Lexus IS 500 Has A Special Variant In Japan, What Are The Privileges?

JAKARTA - Lexus has confirmed that the IS sedan will not have V8 engines in the future and present a farewell edition to the Japanese market.

The model, called IS 500 Climate Edition, will be equipped with a special feature that will make it a target item for Sakura's automotive lovers.

Launching from Japanese media Car Watch, Saturday, June 21, the exterior of the car has a Neutrino Gray color with the addition of metallicity in a thick bright gray color.

To support its performance, this special edition of IS 500 has a potassium aluminum 6-pot from Brembo on the front and a 380 mm pillar-pin ventilated disc brake with high friction brake pads, which ensures high braking performance.

In order for its appearance to look sporty, the caliber brakes have been painted red which is covered by 19-inch aluminum tempa rims from black BBS.

The interior has an aura of luxury and sporty equipped with a black and light red Ultrasumede & Ltex seat coating consisting of a steering wheel, and a gear transfer node with a real layer of dimpled skin.

The interior has a plate on the center console with an exclusive design that reads "Climax Edition". The 8-inch LCD TFT screen also has graphics specifically for this edition so that it creates its own taste for the driver.

Although Lexus did not disclose further specifications, it is estimated that IS 500 Climate Edition has the same engine as F Sport Performance.

The machine is 5.0 liters of V8 which has 472 hp of power at 7,100 RPM and a maximum torque of 535 Nm at 4,800 RPM. This is combined with the automatic transmission of eight accelerated Sport Direct Shift.

The luxury automotive manufacturer under Toyota provides IS 500 Climate Edition for only 500 units in Japan at a price of 9.5 million yen or equivalent to IDR 1.069 billion and delivery to customers starts in August this year.
