Gran Max Updated, Daihatsu Adds Sophisticated Safety Features

JAKARTA - Daihatsu carried out a reshuffle of one of its commercial models, Gran Max Cargo for the Japanese market. One of the things that was changed in the car was in terms of safety.

Launching from Japanese media Car Watch, Tuesday, June 17, this car is priced from 2,068,000 yen to 2,442,000 yen (equivalent to Rp232.7 million to Rp274.8 million).

Gran Max Cargo is now present with the "Smart Assist" safety feature that facilitates operations in trading and raises new standards in running a business.

The feature consists of a stereo camera that can detect or know the area around the vehicle so that it makes it easier for drivers to feel safe and comfortable while driving.

Several functions in the "Smart Assist" have been certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation, and Tourism, such as the Collision Mitigation Brake to the Sudden Acceleration Prevention Device.

In addition, vehicles equipped with Smart Assist meet the requirements for a Limited Support Car License.

This manufacturer also presents other important functions for the needs of roads, such as Lane Departure Warning to "Automatically Front Light".

The rest, this car maintains a number of other technical matters such as performance that relies on the 2NR-VE engine which gives a power boost of up to 97 ps at 6,000 rpm.

The presence of the "Smart Assist" feature to Gran Max Cargo is the answer from Daihatsu in increasing safety standards after being involved in a safety test since 2023.

Not only that, but Daihatsu also opened a recall program in the middle of last year and Gran Max was one of the affected models.

The recall was carried out in the aftermath of the non-compliance of the road transportation law based on the results of technical verification at the end of last June in Japan.
