BYD Xia PHEV Officially Launches In China, Prices Start Like This

JAKARTA - BYD added to its newest line of models for the Chinese market, precisely on January 8 by launching MPV PHEV Xia.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, January 9, this one car comes with a choice of PHEV powertrain which uses the latest DM 5 technology from BYD.

A total of four variants were presented and priced starting from 249,800 yuan or around Rp551 million, while for the highest variant it touched 309,800 yuan or Rp684 million.

This MPV offers a 2+2+3 layout and offers a length dimension of 5,145 mm, a width of 1,970 mm, a height of 1,805 mm with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm, and offers four choices of Yuanshan Blue, Jianyao Purple, Runyu White, and Xuankong Black colors.

Interestingly, this one car offers an electric sliding door as a standard, designally offering a modern impression, especially when it is equipped with a culling that stands out covered in chrome.

Entering the cabin, as a standard, this car is equipped with a 15.6-inch infotainment display mounted in the middle along with a 12.3-inch instrument display.

Meanwhile, many of the superior technologies offered such as the function of massage, as well as the third row are also electric with a backward motion of up to 100 mm. The third row seat can be folded evenly to the floor, which makes Xia more useful for transporting loads.

The car is also equipped with 50W wireless phone charging, and a small refrigerator located at the back of the center console as standard. In addition, there is a folding table on the back of the front seat for use by second row passengers.

BYD Xia is powered by a turbocharged version of BYD's DM 5.0 Technology PHEV system. This means that the engine has a power of 115 kW. In addition, this car uses a 200 kW electric motor. And equipped with a different battery each variant.
