BYD Will Offer PHEV Version Of Yangwang U7, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - BYD will reportedly prepare a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the Yangwang U7 sports car. This is evidenced by the complete document from the Ministry of Industry and Technology Information (MIT) in China regarding the sedan.

Launching from CarNewsChina, Wednesday, December 11, the car has an e4 platform such as other BYD models with a length of 5,360 mm, a width of 2,000 mm, a height of 1,515 mm, and a wheelbase of up to 3,200 mm.

Yangwang U7 PHEV carries a 275/40 R21 tire which is known to have an optimal grip. Behind the tires, there are timesper brakes with different colors. Then, this sedan has unique technology like DiSus-Z which is the same as his brother, namely U9.

This document states that Yangwang U7 PHEV has a number of standard equipment consisting of a panoramic sunset and an electric back wing. There are also optional features such as carbon fiber trim on front and rear sepabors, carbon fiber sideskirts, e4 logos, and digital rearview mirrors.

The inside features a futuristic display equipped with a multi-functional steering wheel of three bars, a 23.6-inch instrument panel, a 70-inch AR-HUD, 12.8-inch vertical control screen like the one in the U8, and the presence of 23-peaker from Dynaudio.

The central console has a covering that can be opened with the presence of a 50W wireless charging panel and a cup spot. In addition, there is a cup that can be heated or cooled.

The futuristic and luxurious elements are highlighted in this car with the presence of an armrest box in which there is a refrigerator. Behind the refrigerator, there is a touch screen that can regulate temperature and air conditioning.

Yangwang U7 PHEV is powered by a 2.0T engine connected to four electric motors, thus providing a total output of up to 1,000 kW. BYD claims the Yangwang U7 PHEV can run at the highest speed of 270 km/hour.

Also presented is a 52.4 kWh battery package with a capacity of 52.4 kWh which is claimed to provide 180 km of electric range. With the fuel tank and the battery fully charged, the Yangwang U7 PHEV can go as far as 1,000 km according to the WLTC.
