Peugeot Launches E-408 In Europe, Travel Distance Reaches 453 Km

JAKARTA - Peugeot is again expanding the ranks of environmentally friendly vehicles by introducing the latest e-408. This car is an EV version of the 408 gasoline-engined model.

Just like the gasoline version, Peugeot e-408 carries a modern and futuristic fastback style. Supported by the E-EMP2 platform, this allows it to have flexibility in various powertrains without sacrificing interior style or comfort.

Launching from Stellantis' official website, Thursday, October 3, this car has a length of 4,690 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,790 mm. This dimension allows the battery to be installed at the bottom of the vehicle body, to be precise below the floor between wheels.

Thus, this can provide a wide cabin space and lower the center of gravity of the model so that it can run dynamically.

The dynamical properties of e-408 are also located on a futuristic 15-inch rim covered in 225-50R19 tires with low rolling resistance.

The identity of Peugeot is very thick in this car with a thin LED light with the iconic taering lion' pattern as well as showing a firm and strong look on the electric car.

Then, the back also shows the identity of the French brand with a distinctive three lion claw' LED and at the same time depicts a more dynamic look.

The cockpit offers a different ergonomics with a concise steering wheel. It is installed in front of a fully configured 3D 10-inch digital cluster.

The central dashboard blends with a 10-inch high-definition center screen that can control i-Connect Advanced systems and can connect with TomTom navigation features to be more efficient and effective.

Peugeot e-408 is offered with the latest ADAS system developed by manufacturers through five cameras and three radars installed on various sides of the vehicle. The system includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Automatic Emergency Braking with Collision Risk Alert, Active Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Alert, Long-range Blind Spot Monitoring, and much more.

This car is driven by a magnetic permanent electric motor that has up to 210 dk of power and a 345 Nm torque produced by the Stellantis-NIDEC joint venture in Tremery, France.

Internal resources in Peugeot e-408 come from 58.2 kWh nickel manganesecobalt batteries which provide up to 453 km of range by WLTP with electricity consumption claims reaching 15.2 kWh/100 km.
