Hyundai Inster Given A Green Light Listed In Australia, When Will Indonesia?

Hyundai introduced Inster globally last June which will fill the affordable electric city car segment. After its launch, the car is rumored to have received approval for sale in Australia.

Launching from CarExpert, Tuesday, October 1, government approval documents show the manufacturer has been given the green light to launch Inster in the Standard and Long Range variants. In fact, it is stated that there are 'Cross' types that have not been disclosed.

Compared to the standard version, the Cross version is expected to have a stronger design with a thick bumper and a suspension designed for driving all terrain.

Speaking of standard Inster, the car offers a similar design to Nepal which is sold in South Korea which has a field interior, advanced technology, an impressive reach.

Hyundai Inster has several unique and compact exterior elements, ranging from smooth sepatbors, modern design bumpers, and skid plates playing a role in perfecting designs at the front and back.

Modern aura radiates on the LED DRL lights with a pixel-graphis sein signal. Inster's appearance is increasingly felt special with the use of two-tone colors outside. The manufacturer presents it with 15-inch or 17-inch rims.

The manufacturer with the 'H' lopsided logo has a choice of colors Atlas White, Tomboy Khaki, Kiajarim Khaki Matte, Sienna Orange Metallic, Aero Silver Matte, Dusk Blue Matter, Buttercream Yellow Pearl, and Abyss Black Pearl.

Moving to the inside, the driver is greeted with a digital cluster screen and touchscreen infotainment measuring 10.25 inches each that offers wireless navigation and charging features.

The interior is decorated with a touch of pixel graphics on the steering wheel that strengthens the image of a high-tech car. The interior design is also equipped with top-door trim decorations that can be adjusted so that the owner can further personalize the vehicle.

Both the exerior and interior have environmentally friendly materials. Inster's body features shiny black recycled paint replacing black carbon pigment which is usually used in black paint with dyes made from recycled tire waste.

The interior itself uses Polyethylene Tereftalat (PET) recycled materials from bottles and bio-polypropylene materials extracted from sugar cane.

This model is offered in two variants of powertrain, namely with a power of 71.1 kW in the basic variant and 84.5 kW in the long-range type. Both are offered with a torsion of 147 Nm.

Regarding the distance, Inster has a 42 kWh battery at the base type and 49 kWh in the Long Range type. Thus, this model offers a distance of up to 355 km according to the WLTP in the Long Range type with an energy consumption of 15.3 kWh/100 km.

This compact model has the ability to charge with a DC fast-charger of 120 kW from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. Hyundai Inster is also compatible with onboard AC 11 kW charging.

Inster has been introduced in South Korea, followed by other markets such as Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) also opens the opportunity to bring Inster to the Indonesian market. However, it has not been able to provide certainty of the time for the presence of this model.

"All products introduced globally have the opportunity to enter Indonesia. But should it be brought here immediately? It depends on consumer needs," said COO of PT HMID Fransiscus Soerjopranoto some time ago.
