Geely Galaxy E5 Officially Starts Its Debut In Europe

JAKARTA - Geely Auto has just showcased its newest global model, Geely EX5, at the 2024 Automechanika Frankfurt exhibition.

Designed to meet diverse international markets, EX5 features Geely's advanced technology and expertise in designing, building, and producing world-class electric vehicles. Geely's launch of EX5 marks a significant step for manufacturers to become global leaders in electric SUVs.

"EX5 has been created to become the leading-class player in the most competitive segment. With more space, better driving dynamics, and improved driving experience," said Senior Vice President Geely Holding Group Victor Yang during the exhibition, quoted from the manufacturer's global release, September 12.

EX5 is the result of Geely's technological and innovative power. Made on top of the GAE architecture, which excels in spatial efficiency and structural integrity. This architecture not only supports multi-energy layout but also provides an extraordinary driving experience and superior energy efficiency.

EX5 also has a bold and dynamic exterior design, characterized by a slim and aerodynamic profile that achieves the leading-class drag coefficient of 0.269. The sophisticated LED backlight and high-tech front grip further emphasize its modern aesthetics.

Inside, EX5 offers a luxurious interior, characterized by a minimalist design philosophy and comfortable materials. The spacious cabin is augmented with flexible seating options and the "Half More" storage concept, providing up to 50% more storage capacity than the industry averages. To improve the experience in cars, EX5 is equipped with FLYME Auto and FLYME SOUND systems, providing smooth connectivity and immersive audio experiences.

As proof of autonovatives, Geely has completed the EX5 with the latest "Short Blade Battery". It offers tremendous security and durability, after passing rigorous tests under diverse extreme conditions. Paired with an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive that provides unmatched efficiency and performance. Geely EX5 is available in two battery capacities ranging from 49.52 kWh which is claimed to be capable of traveling a distance of 440 km in a single full charge, and a choice of 60.22 kWh capable of traveling a distance of up to 530 km in CLTC counts.

As a global model, E5 has complied with regulatory requirements from 89 countries. No wonder it is said that EX5 will soon be introduced in Norway, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and other markets.
