After Global Debut In Indonesia Last July, BYD M6 Officially Enters Thailand

JAKARTA After making a global debut at the GIIAS 2024 event in Indonesia last July, now MPV electricity BYD M6 is starting to enliven the electric vehicle market in Thailand.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Wednesday, September 11, BYD M6 comes in the White Elephant Country in two variants with a six-seater configuration as standard. The Dynamic variant is priced at 829,900 baht or around Rp380 million, while the Extended variant is offered at a price of 929,900 baht (around Rp426 million).

In comparison, in Indonesia this electricity MPV is sold at prices ranging from Rp379 million for the 7 Seater Standard variant, Rp419 million for the Superior 7 Seater variant, and Rp429 million for the highest variant of the Superior Captain 6 Seater. This makes the price of BYD M6 in Thailand a little cheaper than Indonesia, especially for the highest variant.

In Thailand, all variants of BYD M6 are equipped with a single motorbike on the front. The Dynamic variant produces 163 PS of power with a torque of 310 Nm, while the highest variant is capable of ejecting power up to 204 PS and flying from 0-100 km/hour in just 8.6 seconds.

This car is also equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Blade battery from BYD. The Dynamic variant with a battery capacity of 55.4 kWh offers a range of up to 420 km according to NEDC standard, while the Extended variant with a capacity of 71.8 kWh is capable of traveling a distance of up to 530 km in one charge.

The VOI team had tried the BYD M6 in Indonesia with a distance of about 300 km. As a result, the experience of driving with an electric MPV feels very pleasant. Responsive instant torque, gentle suspension, and steady handling provide confidence at every corner.

The BYD M6 cabinet also offers maximum comfort with a variety of advanced features. Some of them are a 12.8-inch central screen that can rotate, a center console with practical settings, accessible air conditioning controls, and very comfortable seats.

In Thailand, BYD M6 is equipped with various standard features such as start buttons, NFC key cards, automatic air conditioning, rear rear rear rear rear rear rear rear rear rear mirrors with auto-eduction features, cruise control, imitation leather seat, vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, 360-degree camera system, and six speakers. Extended variants add conveyances, robotic panoramas, as well as ventilable front seats that can be tuned to increase comfort.

With all the advantages offered, BYD M6 is an attractive option in the MPV electricity market in Thailand, offering performance and comfort in a compact package
