JAKARTA - The Swedish auto brand, Volvo has officially revealed a current-generation facelift version of XC90 by increasing various elements, from more comfortable interiors to leading technology.

Volvo Cars CEO Jim REAL, said that XC90 facelift is one of the electrified cars carrying a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and mid-hybrid systems that are known to be flexible and efficient in fuel use.

Our flagship hybrid product has been one of our best-selling models for years and is still a favorite among many subscribers, Rowan said on the brand's official website, Friday, September 6.

Unlike the previous version, XC90's facelift got a revision to the front light, known as the "Thor Hammer" with a new diagonal patterned grip that made it look newer.

Moving to the interior, this Volvo flagship SUV is added with new materials with a 11.2-inch touchscreen standing on the dashboard, replacing the 9-inch display present in the previous model.

Carrying the contemporary Scandinavian design language, the dashboard has a horizontal and smoother shape compared to the previous decorated with decorative panels made from premium recycled materials.

The premium element in the interior is also highlighted by presenting one of the best audio systems from the Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity brand that can replicate stage acoustics, concert halls, and jazz clubs.

Speaking of performance, the T8 variant carries the PHEV system with a 306-dk gasoline engine with a 143-dk electric motor, which has an electric battery capable of providing a distance of 70 km according to the WLTP.

Of course, this XC90 lags behind compared to its rivals such as the TIGuan PHEV which can provide range with pure electricity up to 113 km in one charge and the Audi Q7 PHEV offers 84 km.

Volvo also provides the 48V mid-hybrid variant in the B5 variant which has a 247-dk gasoline engine and a 296-dk-powered B6 type. Both also offer a turbocharged system and promise to increase efficiency in fuel consumption.

The SUV also offers air suspensions that can be lowered to 20 mm or raised to 40 mm. Volvo claims that its cabin tapping system has been upgraded in order to increase passenger and driver comfort.

Volvo XC90 facelift has been available and is scheduled to start production from late 2024, followed by its first unitary delivery to customers.
