GWM Poer Sahar HEV Offroad Launches In China, The Power Is Fierce

JAKARTA - After officially launching Poer Sahar HEV at the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) last March, Great Wall Motor (GWM) re-launched the model with off-road frills claimed to be more resilient.

Quoting from the Paultan page, Wednesday, September 4, launching GWM Poer Sahar HEV offroad was carried out at the Chengdu Motor Show 2024, which was aimed at giving the impression of a more challenging offroad adventure.

In specifications, Poer Sahar offroad Edition is powered by a 2.4 liter diesel turbo engine that produces 184 ps of power and 480 Nm of torque, which is a lower peak power figure but with a larger torque compared to 244 PS and 380 Nm of turbo gasoline engines in the HEV variant.

Not only 2.5 liters of turbo diesel engines, this one model will also be sold with a gubernatorial 3.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine. However, the details have not been disclosed.

Back to the 2.5 liter model, the machine is married to a nine-speed transmission, which is developed by GWM itself, and is equipped with a set of 18-inch rims covered with the AT3 Cooper Discoverer tires measuring 265/65R18.

With an overall length of more than 5.4 meters, GWM claims that this model is the largest double cabin pickup truck in its class, and is also pinned with back seats that can be donated up to 33 degrees.

There are different things from the usual model with the off-road version, as well as eliminating the backdoor function that can be opened to the side, and like other pickup cars, the back can be pulled to open it.

In terms of the driver assistance system, Poer Sahar is off the road equipped with the ADAS level 2 system which includes features such as adaptive cruise control and intelligent cruise control.

Regarding the price, in China this one model is priced from 178,800 yuan or around Rp. 389 million to 249,800 yuan or Rp. 544 million.
