JAKARTA - BMW M5 is a high-performance model developed by the 'M' division that offers the sensation of driving aggressively and is suitable to be tested on real racing tracks. However, it turns out that the owner of this sedan is rare and almost never takes it to the circuit track.

This was revealed by BMW M Manufacturer Management Daniela Schmid, who said most owners have never felt the M5 sensation of their limits on real racing tracks.

"For M5 customers, we know that there is only a small percentage of people driving to the circuit once and never continuously," said Schmid, quoted by Motor1, Friday, August 30.

He also added that it is undeniable that the M5 can also be used in daily life so that the owner of this car chooses not to take it to the racing circuit.

"We keep the conditions for cars to be used on the circuit, although we realize that not many customers actually take them to the race track," added Schmid.

Schmid also revealed that the main profile of M5 buyers is not from young people, but most of them are middle-aged men or are old and on average come from entrepreneurs and the highest management ranks.

The current buyer's profile is a middle-aged man. Although we also have female customers, most of them are men, entrepreneurs, or high-ranking management who have experience with other M models, maybe M3 or M4, and want M5 as they get older," he added.

Carrying the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) system, this car can operate in full electric power up to 140 km/hour. With a battery of 18.6 kWh, this sedan is capable of traveling 67-69 km in a single charge.
