Unlike In The US, The Latest Toyota Camry In The Middle East Has ICE Machines

Toyota has launched its newest generation Camry some time ago for the United States (US) market and now the luxury sedan has been expanded to several countries, one of which is the Middle East.

Unlike Uncle Sam's country, which only offers hybrid variants, in the Middle East it does not focus on hybrid but conventional combustion engines (ICE).

Launching from Carscoops, Wednesday, August 28, pure ICE variants are offered in several countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The reason is that the hybrid is less popular in the Middle East, but Toyota still presents hybrid variants to Camry but only with FWD drivers.

From the exterior side, the Middle Eastern version of Camry has no difference with US specifications. The entry-level trim uses 16-inch steel rims, while the top type carries an 18-inch rim with a more fine design.

This car has a new all-new design language and is more striking, especially in the front grip that resembles a Prius or Crown. The sharp front light also gives this car a dashing impression.

The bumper also underwent changes with the addition of several holes, creating futuristic and aerodynamic displays. The sides and back get a new touch with a sharp backlight and firm curves.

The elements of luxury lie on the inside where there is an 8-inch infotainment display for the lowest type and 12.3-inch touch screen for the highest.

Toyota Camry for Middle Eastern specifications has a 2.5 liter VVTi 4-cylinder engine that produces 201 dk of power and 240 Nm of torque or 26 dk lower than the hybrid version.

For pure gasoline drivers, the engine is coupled to an automatic transmission of eight accelerations exclusively, not an e-CVT.

In the United Arab Emirates market, the ninth generation Toyota Camry is priced at starting from 109,900 UAE Dirhams or equivalent to Rp462.6 million for pure and hybrid gasoline worth 123,900 UAE Dirhams (around Rp521.5 million).
