Ahead Of Launch In Australia, Chery Omoda E5 Specifications Revealed

JAKARTA - Ahead of its launch in Australia, specifications for the Chery Omoda E5 electric car were revealed with a distance of up to 430 km.

Quoting from the Drive page, Tuesday, August 13, the Chery Omoda E5 in Australia comes in two variants, namely BX and EX, but both are still equipped with the same battery capacity, namely 61 kWh.

When referring to septicification in Indonesia, there is no difference, which also offers a 61 kWh battery with a distance of 430 km in the WLTP count. While the electric motor is equipped with 204 hp and 340 Nm torque.

Meanwhile, the battery drives one electric motor for the front wheels, which can accelerate up to 0-100 km/hour from a stationary position of only 7.6 seconds. Chery claims the model can be charged 30-80 percent in less than 30 minutes using a DC fast charger, the same as in Indonesia.

Entering the cabin, this car is equipped with a dual screen of 12.4 inches, for an instrument cluster and infotainment screen that has been connected by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital radio DAB+, and 50W wireless phone chargers.

Meanwhile, for the basic BX variant, six speakers for Sony sound systems, wireless phone chargers, cloth seats with synthetic leather rolls, LED exterior lights, 18 inches of rims.

On the other hand, the EX variant gets an eight-speaker Sony sound system, a 360-degree camera, a power tailgate, ambient interior lighting, a black synthetic leather seat, a well-managed front and rear seat, a synthetic leather steering wheel with heating, and a powered sunset. Passengers can also control the main functions of the car using a Chery sound commands system.

In terms of safety, this one car is equipped with seven airbags (including drivers, passengers, center, front side and side curtain), Omoda E5 is equipped with a state-of-the-art driver assistance (ADAS) system, which, said Chery, includes 18 types ranging from intelligence driving assists including radar cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane keep assists.

Customers can choose from the five exterior colors, Titan Green, Lunar White, Saturn Silver, Space Black, and Martian Red. Black roofs can also be selected on the EX variant at Titan Green or Lunar White.

Omoda E5 is protected by a seven-year warranty/infinite kiliometer of Chery with an infinite eight-year battery/kilometer guarantee, as well as seven-year service at a limited price, and road side assistance for up to seven years.

Although the price has not been announced, the Chery Omoda E5 2025 is expected to be priced at less than 50.000 Australian dollars or around IDR 524 million, and for Indonesia this car is priced from IDR 419 million for the Pure model, and IDR 488 million for the highest model.
