Mejeng ECinter Electric Truck At GIIAS, Offers Security And Comfort Features

PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in Indonesia, officially launched an electric truck, eCanter in the Indonesian market at the prestigious Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024 at Hall 2 ICE BSD, Tangerang.

Indonesia has become the seventh eCanter market since this zero-emission truck was introduced in 2017. KTB in collaboration with MFTBC diversifies the choice of transportation available in the market in line with the Indonesian government's commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2060.

Mitsubishi President and CEO Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation Karl Deppen, said that eCanter is a state-of-the-art technology product designed to consider consumers and focus on quality, comfort, durability, and security.

"eCanter offers easy use with the ability to charge overnight so you can start every day at full power, without wasting time at a gas station. And every time the eCanter slows down, you charge the battery with a regenerative brake power. The eCanter also offers low operating costs and minimal maintenance," he said, at the launch, at GIIAS, Wednesday, July 17.

Before being launched in Indonesia, Mitsubishi Fuso had conducted trials with 10 large consumers to ensure its eCanter capabilities in business operations. After being tested for more than 25,000KM, eCanter can operate properly without any problems and get a positive response from consumers, including driving comfort and strong acceleration.

Mitsubishi Fuso launched an eCanter electric truck with an M-sized battery with a capacity of 83kWh which was able to cover a distance of 140 km with a GVW of 6 tons. This eCanter truck, comes with a wheelbase length of 3.4 meters and a large torque is suitable for transporting loads with a maximum volume. The average design chassis makes it easier for consumers in the process of making caroseri.

Sales and Marketing Director of KTB Aji Jaya, said that eCanter offers comfort to drivers and the latest safety features.

"This product is equipped with very sophisticated security features such as the Electronic Stability Program to stabilize vehicles during braking in dangerous situations, the Acoustic Vehicle Alert System which plays a role in warning locals that vehicles are approaching, Land Departure Warning System (LDWS) and cabin rear camera-integrated rear-camera mirrors," said Aji Jaya.

The sale of eCanters will be focused on the JABODETABEK area at 3 designated Mitsubishi Fuso authorized dealers, namely PT. Dipo Internasional Pahala Otomotif, PT. Srikandi Diamond Motor, and PT. Sun Star Motor.

The purchase of the eCanter, is also equipped with various complete and long guarantees for up to 6 years or 180,000KM, and also consumers will get Free service for 5 years. Unfortunately, no price has been announced.
