Entering The Philippines, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Variant Kakadu Is Priced At IDR 1.3 Billion

JAKARTA - The latest generation Toyota Land Cruiser 250 or Prado is now officially present in the Philippine market with significant changes.

The appearance of this car is reportedly highly anticipated by consumers in the country. Different from its global market, the SUV is only offered in one variant. Although it has not been disclosed about the details of its name, it is stated that this type is the same as Kakadu or the highest type in the Australian market.

Launching Top Gear Philippines, Tuesday, July 16, trim Kakadu has a different front goal and is bigger than other types. There is a vertical bar featuring the Toyota logo in front that makes it look luxurious.

Thus, the manufacturer revised a number of designs including the front facilities. Furthermore, the Land Cruiser with this trim has a 20-inch rim wrapped in the 265/60 R20 tires with a bumper coating of body color so that it gives a premium and tough impression.

The fifth-generation Land Cruiser Prado is also equipped with a redesigned instrument cluster, along with a 12.3-inch infotainment. In addition, this SUV has a power seat for both passengers on the front.

Its infotainment devices can be connected to Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto along with 10-speaker audio systems. This car can accommodate as many as seven people with a rear-entertainment system.

Just like any other model, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado features a Toyota Safety Sense or safety system developed by manufacturers, consisting of Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Toyota also provides this model with a Crawl Control system, which is capable of supporting off-road driving capabilities. The system automatically modulates thrust and brakes through five low-speed settings to help drivers focus on steering on difficult terrain.

In addition, the manufacturer also presents a Multi-Terrain Select feature that works when passing the footpath. This system consists of several modes, namely Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Rock, and Deep Snow.

For Philippine specifications, Toyota gave this car a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder turbo engine capable of emitting 279 dk of power and 430 Nm of torque combined with eight automatic acceleration and four-wheel drive (4WD) transmission.

Offering some of the latest advantages, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will go on sale in the Philippines for 4.8 million pesos (IDR 1.3 billion).
