China's Mini Cooper Electricity Officially Launches, The Price Is Now Affordable

JAKARTA - The all-electric Mini Cooper made in China by joint ventures BMW and Great Wall Motor (GWM), officially entered the local market.

Quoting Carnewschina, Monday, July 8, the Mini Cooper EV comes in five trims with prices ranging from 189,800 266,800 yuan or around IDR 424-597 million.

In specifications, this Mini Cooper EV comes with a length of 3,858 mm, a width of 1,756 mm, a height of 1,458 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,526 mm, 31 mm longer than the previous generation.

As the fifth generation of the Mini three-door model, the model retains many elements of Mini-style classic design including round headlights that are its trademark.

Meanwhile, the cabin is equipped with a large circular OLED display on the central console. The monitor diameter reaches 9.5 inches and is connected to Mini OS 9. In addition, this car is also equipped with a three-stop steering wheel.

As mentioned above, this car comes in five trims, including E Classic, Big Player and SE Racing and Artist to SE 1/65 Limited Edition. Mini offers a variety of color choices including Storm Gray, Polar Bear White, British Green, Benedict Yellow, Magic Blue, and Chili Red with body pillars, rearview mirrors and black roofs.

In specifications, the Mini Cooper EV E is equipped with 135 kW and 290 Nm electric motors with a 40.7 kWh lithium terner battery pack, providing a CLTC range of 456 km and a distance of 0 100 km/ h for an acceleration time of 7.3 seconds.

In addition, high-end Mini Cooper SE is powered by 160 kW (215 hp) and 330 Nm electric motors and 54.2 kWh lithium battery packages, providing a range of 452 km CLTC and 0 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. At DC fast charging, charging time from 10 to 80 percent is only 30 minutes.
