JAKARTA - Genesis, a luxury brand owned by Hyundai Motor Group, launched a high-performance sub-brand at the end of March. Recently, one of its models caught on camera was being tested on the legendary track, Nurburgring Nordschleife, Germany.

Launching from CarBuzz, Thursday, June 13, the model is called GV60 Magma which has a striking orange color. In this test, the SUV-style car runs with an aggressive front and back bumper that is exposed.

The manufacturer gives this model air flow in parts such as Lamborghini Manage and the back is equipped with a new diffuser and a large wing above it. GV80 Magma features similar wheels and brakes like Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

Although the specifications have not been disclosed, Genesis GV60 Magma will have an electric motor with a power of up to 601 dk and a torque of 740 Nm.

It is also hoped that this model will offer more slick elements, such as interiors that have skin ingredients accompanied by touch of the archipelago which shows that the model is more classy than its standard model.

It is estimated that GV60 Magma will be present next year as the first production model of the Magma Genesis Program. The concept car, which was previously exhibited at the Genesis House New York, is very close to the mass production version.

Genesis GV60 Magma uses the same E-GMP platform as Kia EV6 and Ioniq 5 - as well as the latest Hyundai N high performance version.

Meanwhile, the setup of the GV60 Magma Concept battery and electric motor will not be much different from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, with an 84kWh battery and an electric motor in each doubler.

GV60 is not the only Genesis car born in the Magma Program. Several other cars were also developed as part of this program including the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special and X Gran Berlinetta Concept. These cars mark "expansion of the brand into the realm of high-performance cars".
