BMW Launches G60 520i In Malaysia With Mild-hybrid Technology

JAKARTA - BMW has officially brought the latest series of Series-5 models to the Malaysian market. Apart from the i5 M60 which is a pure electric car, this brand also carries the G60 520i which is a local assembled (CKD).

According to Paultan's alert, Tuesday, May 21, the sedan is equipped with a 19-inch aero rim in a gray 934 bicolour color scheme wrapped in 245/45R19 tires on the front and rear. This car carries the arrangement of the double wishbone suspension in front and five-link at the back.

For the neighboring country market, the G60 520i brings four different colors, consisting of Black Saphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Phytonic Blue Metallic, and Cape York Green Metallic. In addition, BMW also carries two interior colors Black and Espresso Brown.

On the inside itself has a 12.3-inch BMW Curved Display display instrument and 14.9-inch infotainment touch screen. The system can access iDrive, front seat, and other personalization settings.

This luxury sedan has a number of driver assistance systems from Driving Assistant Plus, including Active Cruise Control, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, and Lane Departure Warning.

For its performance, the BMW G60 520i is equipped with a B48 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with a turbocharged line that produces 208 dk of power and a 330 Nm torque combined with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This means that this system can be more efficient in using fuel.

Assisted by a rear wheel drive system and transmission of eight automatic accelerations, the car can run 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds with a maximum speed of 230 km/hour.

Regarding the price, the BMW Group Malaysia sets an estimated price of 340,000 ringgit or around Rp1.16 billion.
