Baojun Yunhai, The Latest Electric And Hybrid SUV Ready To Show Off

JAKARTA - The sub-brand of Wuling, namely Baojun, has revealed various models that will be launched in 2024, with plans to launch two Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) in the third and fourth quarters.

Citing Carnewschina, Monday, May 13, the two SUVs are codenamed F410S and F710S, with one of them rumored to be Baojun Yunhai whose specifications have been revealed.

This car is positioned similar to Wuling Cloud in Indonesia, meaning Baojun Yunhai is expected to be exported to overseas markets. Official images of the car have now been revealed based on information from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on May 11.

In more detail, Baojun Yunhai is positioned as a compact SUV with a length of 4,541 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, a height of 1,608 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. The car will be built based on the Tianyu D Baojun platform architecture.

There are two versions that will be launched, namely Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). At first sight, the design for both versions is different.

What are the differences? For example, a purely electric version has a larger closed area on the front and a bit of a black panel. Meanwhile, the PHEV version uses triangular-shaped round lights and black decorative panels as decorations. However, from the back, there is no significant change, aka the same.

Regarding the specifications, the pure electric version is equipped with a 150 kW electric motor TZ210XS2F0 model and a lithium iron phosphate battery pack from Jiangsu Zenergy Battery Technology. While the PHEV version will be powered by a 1.5 liter natural aspirated engine with a maximum power of 78 kW, electric motors, and lithium iron phosphate batteries. Both versions will have a top speed of 170 km/hour. Other additional powertrain specifications have not been revealed at this time.

In addition, both versions also have three different electoral styles that can be selected, and both have two 215/60R17 and 225/55R18 tire specifications. Lidar and camera will also be embedded, demonstrating advanced driving assistance capabilities.
