JAKARTA - Genesis on Tuesday, March 26, showcased two new Genesis Neolun Concept and Genesis GV60 Magma Concept concept vehicles at the Genesis House New York, marking an important milestone in the brand's evolution.

Launching the company's release, Genesis Neolun Concept is in the form of the first full-sized electric SUV concept of the brand, prioritizing the best hospitality for Genesis drivers supported by various advanced technology features.

But here a more interesting discussion is the Genesis GV60 Magma Concept, the company's high-performance car concept which is full of luxury, claimed to be able to provide an experience that raises enthusiasm and joy on every trip.

If produced, GV60 Magma Concept will compete with its Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and competitors such as Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model Y Performance.

According to Genesis, the "Memma program" was created to "define performance and luxury with the aim of displaying innovation and automotive technology.

The GV60 concept is not the only Genesis car born in the Magma Program. Several other cars that were also developed as part of this program included the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special and X Gran Berlinetta Concept. These cars mark "expansion of the brand into the realm of high-performance cars".

"We call it a concept because we haven't fully displayed it. We haven't disclosed details of the performance figures yet. But this car has been decided as part of the Genesis GV60 program and is coming soon," Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke said of the Genesis GV60 Concept.

Launching Autoexpress, March 26, it is estimated that GV60 Magma will be present next year as the first production model of the Magma Genesis Program. The concept car on display at the Genesis House New York is very close to the mass production version. The four cars from the Magma program will also be displayed on the New York International Auto Show from March 29 to April 7.

Genesis GV60 Magma uses the same E-GMP platform as Kia EV6 and Ioniq 5 - as well as the latest version of Hyundai N high performance. It is estimated that the Genesis-generated power will be slightly larger than Ioniq 5 N which produces a power of 600 dk and a torque of 748 Nm. In fact, with the N Grin Boost feature, this figure can increase to 641 dk and torque 770 Nm. With this power, Ioniq 5 N can reach a speed of 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of up to 260 km/hour.

Meanwhile, the setup of the GV60 Magma Concept battery and electric motor will not be much different from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, with an 84kWh battery and an electric motor in each doubler.
