Toyota Files X-Van Gear Concept Design Patent, Will It Produce?

JAKARTA - At the 2023 Japan Mobility Show (JMS), Toyota enlivened it by showing off a number of concept vehicles, one of which was the X-Van Gear Concept and it seems that the car will be a production model.

Reporting from Carscoops, Monday, March 25, the manufacturer filed a design patent from this vehicle in March. This step was taken by the company so that the design cannot be imitated by other brands, although it is not yet a guarantee whether Toyota will produce it or not.

The X-Van Gear Concept carries a rigid box design language, but futuristics with front and rear sliding doors. The sturdy plastic layer is combined with a color palette, reminiscent of the FJ Cruiser. Overall, the exterior of this car combines SUV elements with the van.

On the inside, the car carries a configuration of three rows of chairs mounted on the tracks on the floor allowing this seat to be shifted and rearranged easily.

Toyota also made a unique approach to this car, the presence of a door without pillars-B so that a wide open space can be used as a relaxing space for camping.

The car also has a number of standard features such as box-shaped rims, A, B, and black D pillars with contrasted C pillars, as well as thin DRL lights located above the pixel headlights.

With a diameter of 4,695 mm, a width of 1,820 mm, and a height of 1,855 mm, X-Van Gear Concept has a size comparable to that of a Vexy and it is a question of whether this concept car will continue the minivan or present as a new segment filler.

However, all of this is still a rumor. It seems that the public will know the news about whether this model will enter the production phase in the near future.
