JAKARTA - MG Motor Indonesia has officially brought VS HEV as its first hybrid vehicle to be sold in the country. This also adds to the company's portfolio in presenting environmentally friendly vehicles.

Talking about hybrid vehicles, of course, this technology is known to have fuel efficiency and its ability to minimize emissions. However, how efficient is the consumption of fuel in VS HEV?

Marketing & PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia Arief Syarifudin claims that this SUV can cover a distance of up to 1,000 km in one refueling and this is evidenced by his party testing this vehicle from Jakarta to Surabaya.

"We also carried out travel tests from Jakarta-Surabaya which are 880 km away and only filled in one refill of fuel, so that it could reach a range of 1,000 km," said Arief during an interview with the media in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.

Arief added that this car not only offers impressive fuel efficiency, but is combined with the impressive performance of its runway.

"So it can be calculated from there how we call it high performance with impressive absolute efficiency," added Arief.

Talking about performance, this car is equipped with a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder engine combined with electric motors and lithium-ion batteries, resulting in a peak power of 177 ps and a 200 Nm torque assisted by E-CVT transmission having a fine turnover.

Other technologies embedded in MG VS HEV are KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) three levels that function in converting braking energy into reusable power by vehicles.

Speaking of prices, MG VS HEV is priced at IDR 389 million on The Road DKI Jakarta. The SUV will be available across the official dealer network starting next week.
