Ahead Of Tomorrow's Launch, Rivian R2 Specification Leaks To Have A Tempuh Distance Of Up To 531 Km

JAKARTA - Car manufacturer Rivian will soon launch a smaller electric SUV, namely R2. However, before the official launch, the specifications of the car were leaked.

Quoting from the AreaEV page, Wednesday, March 6, this Ravian R2 specification was revealed via Twitter social media by Chris Hilbert, in the tweets he shared, some of the specifications were clearly displayed.

If this is true, Rivian will soon become a serious challenger in the very competitive electric vehicle segment. So what are the interesting things to reveal?

Of course, regarding the price, this car is explained to be priced at around 43,800 euros or around Rp748 million. This figure is a much cheaper change than the existing Rivian R1 model, making it more competitive with the very popular Tesla Model Y.

In addition to prices, another interesting thing is the matter of travel distance. It is claimed that Rivian R2 can cover a distance of 531 km with one charge, with this figure certainly something interesting to wait for.

Not only about price and distance, acceleration is also a matter of concern, it is predicted that it can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/hour in just three seconds. It's not too shocking when compared to some EVs, but it is able to satisfy those who want the experience of driving without guilt and also a little shaking.

Meanwhile in the cabin, Rivian R2 reportedly comes with dimensions not much different from Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E. In accordance with Rivian's reputation, this SUV seems ready to have fun on the off-road field with a possible ground clearance of up to 249 mm.

If you look at Rivian's products, previously R1T trucks and R1S SUVs were extraordinary, but the premium price limited its appeal. R2 which is easier to reach but more capable will open the brand to a wider audience.

There is still not much information revealed but it is worth waiting for the official launch on March 7 tomorrow.
