MG4 EV Starts Opening Orders In Malaysia, Comes With Three Variants

JAKARTA - The MG electric car also enlivens the environmentally friendly vehicle market in Malaysia, by presenting MG4 EV, a five-door hatchback that is also present in Indonesia.

Citing the Paultan page, Wednesday, February 28, there are three variants for the MG4 EV in Malaysia, starting from the standard embedded 170 ps electric motor and 250 Nm torque. This Standard Variant is equipped with a 51 kWh LFP battery for a range of 350 km in WLTP calculations and is sold starting from 104,000 ringgit or around Rp343 million.

Then second, the Lux type for 129,000 ringgit (IDR 425 million) has a larger power of 203 ps and a torque of 250 Nm, with a battery capacity of 64 kWh with a range of 435 km.

In addition to the two, there is also the highest version of Lux Extended Range 149,000 ringgit (Rp491 million) with 245 ps power and 350 Nm torque, with a NMC 77 kWh battery.

All types of cars are equipped with five driving modes, namely Eco, Normal, Sport, Snow and Custom, with three levels of energy regeneration, which MG calls KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System, as used in F1).

As for charging, MG4 can use AC power at a maximum speed of 7 kW, which will charge the battery in eight hours. DC fast charging with a speed of 150 kW from 30 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes.

Speaking of other specifications, this car has a length dimension of 4,287 mm, a width of 1,836 mm and a height of 1,516 mm with a wheelbase of 2,705 mm. In design, like the Indonesian version, where it comes with sharp headlights and has no grip.

Meanwhile, on the back there are many sharp curves that are pinned to make them have a sporty impression, especially when equipped with an 18-inch rim two tone makes them look attractive.

Entering the cabin, a minimalist dashboard is embedded and equipped with a 7.0-inch MID in front of the driver, there is a large center screen, but what's unique here is that the 10.25-inch landscape touch screen has a row of physical buttons that underline it and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
