MMKSI Announces The Beginning Of Mitsubishi L100 EV Sales At IIMS 2024

JAKARTA - PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has again participated in the prestigious 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) automotive event.

This year, the themes carried are Your Infinite Autotainment Experience, and Mitsubishi announced the start of sales of the Mitsubishi L100 EV model in Indonesia, which is a battery-based light commercial vehicle (BEV) model and is equipped with electric components including motors and driving batteries.

Atsushi Kurita, President Director of PT MMKSI, is very confident that Mitsubishi L100 EV is very product competitive, both in terms of specifications and price ranges offered, so that this model can be absorbed properly by markets in Indonesia that require operational vehicles to support their business, especially fleet consumers.

"From the results of the proof of concept (POC) that have been carried out with partners, it is concluded that L100 EV offers excellence both in terms of product and operations. PT Pos Indonesia as one of the implementing partners in POC activities has expressed further intention to use L100 EV in logistics operational activities at the capital city of Nusantara (IKN)," he said, in his remarks, Thursday, February 15.

As is known, Mitsubishi L100 EV production has started in December 2023 at the Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) assembly facility in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java, and at the same time marks the production of this model for the first time outside Japan.

Previously, Mitsubishi Motors together with MMKSI had carried out Proof of Concept (POC) activities in Indonesia, along with several partners from companies engaged in logistics and services since 2020. POC activities carried out with these partners, it was concluded that Mitsubishi L100 EV was able to accommodate the need to support daily operational activities.

With a compact size with ease of driving including small radius turning, electric power steering & A / T Transmission, good performance on the road, comfortable suspension and water conditioning (AC) that supports comfort. Meanwhile, in terms of operations, Mitsubishi L100 EV has an efficient operational cost, and also a license plate that supports mobility by being free from odd-even areas (in the Jakarta area).

On the same occasion, Mitsubishi also again presented Mitsubishi Xforce as a star that dominates the exhibition booth area to provide a clearer picture of the flagship feature.

Mitsubishi L100 EV consists of only one variant, namely two-seaters blind van, and one color choice, namely white with a price of IDR 320 million on the road in Jakarta. The price offered is a special price during the February-April 2024 period.
