VinFast Officially Chooses Indonesia To Launch Its First Right Steering Electric Car

JAKARTA - VinFast Auto (Nasdaq: VFS) today launched its first series of right-wheeled electric vehicles at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024.

VinFast's presence at IIMS 2024 is a momentum for the Land of the Blue Dragon to enter the domestic electric vehicle market, signaling the next step in VinFast's global expansion, as well as the dedication to drive green and sustainable transportation locally and globally.

At IIMS 2024, VinFast displays electric cars from the A-SUV to E-SUV segments, namely VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9.

On this occasion. VinFast carries Living Unbound as the main message to all models aimed at inviting Indonesian consumers to be part of the unlimited exploration of potential for a more modern, green, and sustainable future transportation.

Indonesia is VinFast's first country in introducing a right-wheeled electric vehicle, describing VinFast's advanced manufacturing capabilities and his determination to develop electric vehicles and bring environmentally friendly transportation to all markets.

Model VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, and VF 7 which are part of segment A to C became the first electric vehicle model launched in Indonesia by VinFast.

We are here to empower Indonesian consumers with various options for greener and more sustainable mobility," said Tran Qu'c Huy, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, in Kemayoran, Jakarta, Thursday, February 15.

VinFast vehicles have a modern design and are young, integrated with advanced technology to meet various consumer needs. VinFast also offers flexible sales and after-sales policies, so that green and sustainable transportation can be more accessible to all customers.

Driven by a long-term vision for sustainable transportation, VinFast has previously announced the construction of a local electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Indonesia with a projected capacity of 50,000 cars per year. VinFast hopes that the plant's development plan can create thousands of jobs and contribute to the development of a stronger domestic electric vehicle industry. When operating, the factory will also be the main link in VinFast's global electric vehicle supply chain.
