Porsche Taycan Is Officially Present, Take A Peek At The Various Improvements Offered

JAKARTA - Porsche Taycan received a very interesting plan, both in terms of design, greater power, wider reach, faster acceleration to faster charging with better stability.

All versions of Taycan display a more complete list of standard equipment, and come with the latest generation Porsche Driver Experience with improved display and control concepts.

"We led a new era of electronic mobility with Taycan at the end of 2019. Taycan was immediately proven to be an innovative game changer and pioneer in the electronic vehicle segment," said Porsche's head of model line, Kevin Giek, in a statement quoted Friday, February 9.

Currently, the company continues the extensive updated Taycan success story. The ranks of the model have reached new levels in terms of performance, with the dynamics of driving and extraordinary driving pleasure.

"At the same time, we were able to significantly increase efficiency, reach, usefulness and daily comfort," he added.

Design

With new front and backstrokes as well as new headlights and backlights, experts at Style Porsche are increasingly perfecting a clean and pure Taycan design. The new forward wing and flatter headlights put a larger emphasis on Taycan's width. In addition, the new forward light features high resolution HD matrix technology with detailed optics and now displays the brand's signature four-point graphics at night. Porsche logo on the back light strip features a three-dimensional design that looks glassy.

This illumination version is available for the first time, featuring welcome/pass animations. Among other important features, Turbonite color accents make the Turbo and Turbo S models more prominent than other versions both exterior and interior.

A further reach of 35 percent

Compared to its predecessor, this latest model gained a longer range of 35 percent. But depending on the variant of the body and engine, the WLTP range increased to 678 km, an increase of 175 km or 35 percent. The updated Taycan can also recharge the battery quickly even at low temperatures.

Higher performance

All updated models accelerated much faster than their predecessors. Two examples from both ends of the portfolio: as sport sedans, Taycan and Taycan Turbo S reached 100 km/hour from stationary positions of only 4.8 and 2.4 seconds, respectively. This makes them 0.6 and 0.4 seconds faster than their predecessors.

With the new push-to-pass function in the Sports cap package, an increase of up to 70 kW, depending on the model, can be done for 10 seconds with just one touch of the button. The increase in acceleration rate is generally due to higher system outputs. For example, the Taycan basis produces 60 kW more than ever. In Taycan Turbo S, an additional 140 kW with Launch Control. This increases the output of the top model system to 952 PS.

New active chassis

All updated Taycan models come with adaptive air suspensions as standard. The new Porsche Active Ride suspension can be ordered as an option for the all-wheel drive version. The system offers an unprecedented bandwidth between driving convenience and driving dynamics.
