MG ZS EV Vs Chery Omoda E5 Comproximation At The Indonesian EV SUV Market

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has officially launched and sold Omoda E5 in the country. The presence of Omoda E5 added to enlivening the electric vehicle market which is now also filled with many other manufacturers.

Previously, MG Motor Indonesia had also launched the MG ZS EV SUV last January. The electric car accompanies another environmentally friendly model, namely the MG4 EV.

Both of them, both Omoda E5 and MG ZS EV, are local assembled products (CKD), so that both of them can fill the affordable electric vehicle segment.

Dimension

In terms of dimensions, the Chery Omoda E5 has a larger size with a length of 4,424 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,588 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,630 mm.

Meanwhile, the MG ZS EV size has a length dimension of 4,323 mm, a width of 1,809 mm, a height of 1,649 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,585 mm.

Electric Motor Performance

Talking about performance, Chery Omoda E5 excels by being equipped with an electric motor measuring 204 ps and a 340 Nm torque moving front wheels. Meanwhile, MG ZS EV only produces 177 ps of power and 280 Nm of torque (MG ZS EV) with front wheels.

Battery And Tempuh Distance

In terms of reach, the Chery Omoda E5 is again superior with the performance of the 61 kWh LFP battery so that it can provide a range of 430 km in one charge. Meanwhile, the MG ZS EV is equipped with a 50.3 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a distance of up to 403 km.

Price

Talking about the price of MG ZS EV, it has a cheaper price with a tag of Rp453 million on The Road DKI Jakarta. Meanwhile, the Chery Omoda E5 is offered Rp498.8 million on the Jakarta OTR.

Conclusion

The Chery Omoda E5 has various advantages offered, so the price is higher than its competitors. But for customers who want electric vehicles at a cheaper price with adequate features, the MG ZS EV can also be an attractive option.
